Petersham nurseries is a quaint little gardern centre with a extremely trendy cafe/restaurant in Richmond. The last time I Went I took lots of photos of the the flowers and plants there. It is such a good place to get inspired by because not only are there really amazing flowers, there are little scenes and setups..almost like lots of still lifes' just waiting to be drawn or photographed. Petersham Nurseries is an especially good place to go as this year and last year a lot of my work has been based on flowers and floral prints. Although a little unclear..the top left is a photograph of a Petersham Nurseries inpired screen print.
Aside from all the gorgeous flowers there is a really yum cafe amongst all the plants and pots..and it is run by a woman called Skye Gyngell who writes food pieces for Vogue. It is definatley worth a visit with your camera..a very inspiring place.
